Water therapy is the least appreciated age old eastern tradition of having 6-8 glasses of water in the morning -right after waking up. How can it be done
In the beginning you may find it very difficult to have 8 glasses of water at a stretch right after waking up. The best approach is to start with 2 glasses of water and gradually increase.Make sure that you do NOT have anything solid or liquid before having the prescribed amount of water. The reason is, water intake should be at a time when the digestive process has not started for the day. Also you will have to give atleast 1 hour of gap before you have breakfast just to make sure your stomach juices aiding digestion are not diluted. The water should be luke warm with an optional lemon squeezed into it for your early morning shot of vitamin C. Lemon is known for its cleansing properties and this will definitely have a great effect. You can also add a few pinches of Himalayan salt for extra benefits.
